OROGO has established service standards for processing the most common applications received and responding to inquiries from the public.  OROGO will:

• Respond to inquiries within one business day, with follow up as necessary.
• Process applications for Operations Authorizations (for exploratory work, not including Geophysical Operations Authorizations) within 90 calendar days from the receipt of a complete application, not including any additional time required to complete an environmental assessment or environmental impact assessment, or for the applicant to respond to Information Requests.
• Process Well Approvals under an existing Operations Authorization within 30 calendar days from receipt of a complete application.

A complete application contains all of the information required under the Oil and Gas Operations Act and the Oil and Gas Drilling and Production Regulations and requires confirmation of an approved benefits plan.
