OROGO has established service standards to enhance the predictability of regulatory decisions. OROGO will:

• Respond to inquiries within one business day, with follow up as necessary.
• Process applications for Operations Authorizations (for exploratory work, not including Geophysical Operations Authorizations) within 90 calendar days from the receipt of a complete application, not including any additional time required to complete an environmental assessment or environmental impact assessment, or for the applicant to respond to Information Requests.
• Process applications for Well Approvals under an existing Operations Authorization within 30 calendar days from receipt of a complete application, not including any additional time required for the applicant to respond to Information Requests.
• Complete OROGO inspection reports within 10 business days of conducting the inspection.
• Process Well Operations Reports and associated Change of Well Status requests within 30 calendar days from receipt of complete documents.

A complete application contains all the information required under the Oil and Gas Operations Act and the Oil and Gas Drilling and Production Regulations and requires confirmation of an approved benefits plan.
