Authorizations, Approvals, and Licences
Operators must have an Operating Licence and Operations Authorizations before beginning any oil and gas work or activity. Drilling, completing, suspending, re-entering, or abandoning a well also requires a Well Approval.
Information on specific Operations Authorizations and Well Approvals can be found on the Public Registry.
Operators are encouraged to request a pre-application meeting to discuss application requirements by contacting OROGO.
Operating Licences provide the Regulator with general information about the company. They do not authorize specific works or activities.
Operating Licences expire on March 31 of each year.
