This _ReadMe.txt file accompanies PDF files named in the format:

    555### - Env # of # - front.pdf
    555### - Env # of #.pdf
and also  
    YYYY-MM-DD - Report - NTGS ____________.pdf


"555" FILES
The files with "555" in the filename were scanned by the NWT Office of the Regulator of Oil and Gas Operations in 2018 from microfiche originally created and stored by the National Energy Board.

The "555### - Env # of #.pdf" files contain all pages from all sheets of microfiche in the identified envelope.
The "555### - Env # of # - front.pdf" is a scan of the envelope containing the microfiche.  The envelope fronts show the program name and other metadata.

"NTGS" FILES
The files with NTGS in the filename were scanned from the same microfiche in 2005 by the Northwest Territories Geoscience Office (now the Northwest Territories Geological Survey - NTGS).  However, in many cases, the entire file was not scanned and it has proven very difficult to link the correct NTGS file to the correct "555" program number in most cases.


Both sets of files were retained to ensure as full a record as possible.  Generally, the "555" files will be more complete and more readable.
