Operators must have an Operating Licence and Operations Authorizations before beginning any oil and gas work or activity.  Drilling, completing, suspending, re-entering or abandoning a well also requires a Well Approval.

There are application forms for Operations Authorizations and Well Approvals that must accompany the operator’s submission.

Operators are encouraged to request a pre-application meeting to discuss application requirements by contacting OROGO.

OROGO inspects and monitors approved works and activities. Operators must also meet the reporting requirements contained in the legislation.
