The Office of the Regulator of Oil and Gas Operations (OROGO) supports the role of the Regulator under the following legislation and regulations:

Oil and Gas Certificate of Fitness Regulations
Oil and Gas Diving Regulations
Oil and Gas Drilling and Production Regulations
Oil and Gas Geophysical Operations Regulations
Oil and Gas Installations Regulations
Oil and Gas Operations Regulations
Oil and Gas Spills and Debris Liability Regulations

On August 2, 2020, a Regulator Designation Order made by the Commissioner in Executive Council (Cabinet) came into effect designating Pauline de Jong as the Regulator.

The Regulator also has responsibilities under the Petroleum Resources Act and the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act.
